Mint Julep cocktail

Derby day in a frosty cup — bourbon, mint, and a mountain of crushed ice.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz Simple syrup
  • 8 Fresh mint leaves
  • lots Crushed ice
  • 1 Mint bouquet - garnish

How to make it

  1. Gently press the mint with syrup in a julep cup — don’t shred it
  2. Pack the cup with crushed ice
  3. Add bourbon and stir until the cup frosts over
  4. Crown with more ice and the mint bouquet
